AI TRAINING
Claude 101: Anthropic's Assistant for Business Teams
Walk away able to use Claude confidently for real work tasks while avoiding common business risks.
What it covers
A practical one-day introduction to Claude.ai covering the full feature set available to business users: Projects, file uploads, Artifacts, and Computer Use basics. Participants work through hands-on exercises drawn from their own job functions — drafting, analysis, summarisation, and structured output generation. The session establishes safe-use patterns including data handling, prompt hygiene, and output validation so teams can adopt Claude responsibly from day one. No prior AI experience is required.
What you'll be able to do
- Set up and navigate Claude Projects with custom instructions tailored to a specific job function
- Upload and interrogate a multi-page business document and produce a structured summary using Artifacts
- Write effective single-turn and multi-turn prompts for at least three common work tasks (drafting, analysis, extraction)
- Apply a personal safe-use checklist to identify which information should never be shared with a third-party AI tool
- Spot common hallucination patterns in Claude's output and apply a two-step verification routine
Topics covered
- Claude.ai interface tour: conversations, memory limits, and model selection
- Projects: organising context, custom instructions, and team-shared workspaces
- File uploads: PDFs, spreadsheets, images — what Claude can and cannot do
- Artifacts: generating documents, code snippets, and structured outputs
- Computer Use basics: what it is, current limitations, and when to use it
- Prompt patterns for business tasks: drafting, summarising, classifying, extracting
- Safe-use rules: what NOT to paste into Claude and how to handle sensitive data
- Output validation: spotting hallucinations and checking factual claims
Delivery
Delivered in-person or live-online (Zoom/Teams) with a facilitator-to-participant ratio of 1:15 maximum. Roughly 40% concept delivery and 60% hands-on practice. Participants need a laptop and an active Claude.ai account. Materials include a printed (or PDF) prompt cheat-sheet, a safe-use policy template, and a take-home exercise booklet. A follow-up 90-minute Q&A session at 2 weeks post-workshop is strongly recommended.
What makes it work
- Designate a Claude champion per team who maintains shared Project instructions and a prompt library
- Establish a one-page internal safe-use policy before or immediately after the workshop
- Run the workshop with a real work task each participant wants to solve, rather than generic demo content
- Schedule a 30-day check-in to share what worked, what didn't, and update prompt templates accordingly
Common mistakes
- Pasting confidential client data, contracts, or PII into Claude without checking the organisation's data-processing agreements with Anthropic
- Treating Claude's output as final without any human review step, especially for numerical or legal content
- Using Claude for tasks that require real-time or post-training-cutoff information without acknowledging the knowledge gap
- Skipping Projects and custom instructions, leading to repetitive context-setting and inconsistent results across a team
When NOT to take this
This workshop is not the right fit if the organisation has already rolled out a governed, enterprise-level Claude for Work deployment and needs teams trained on custom internal tooling or API integrations — in that case a practitioner-level or developer-focused programme is more appropriate.
