AI TRAINING
AI Tools for Craft Brewery and Winery Owners
Leave with practical AI workflows for tasting notes, labels, emails, and compliance tasks.
What it covers
A focused one-day workshop designed for owner-operators of craft breweries, microbreweries, and small wineries who want to reduce time spent on repetitive writing and admin. Participants learn to use AI tools to draft tasting notes and label copy, build DTC email sequences, summarise batch logs, and assist with compliance documentation. The session is hands-on throughout, with real-world beverage industry examples and templates participants can use the same week. No technical background is required.
What you'll be able to do
- Write a ready-to-publish tasting note for a new batch using an AI prompt template
- Generate localised label copy variants for at least two target markets
- Build a three-email DTC welcome sequence using AI tools within 30 minutes
- Summarise a production batch log into a one-page brief using an AI assistant
- Identify which compliance sections can be safely assisted by AI and which require human review
Topics covered
- Drafting and refining tasting notes with AI assistance
- Generating and localising label copy for different markets
- Building DTC email campaigns using AI-generated sequences
- Summarising batch logs and production records
- Assisting with compliance forms and regulatory language
- Creating tap-list and product social media content
- Choosing and evaluating free and low-cost AI tools
- Prompt writing for non-technical users
Delivery
Delivered in-person or live online via video call. Participants work on their own laptops using free-tier AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent). The day is approximately 70% hands-on exercises and 30% instruction and discussion. A starter prompt library and two reusable email templates are included. In-person delivery works well for regional brewing or wine association groups.
What makes it work
- Building a small internal prompt library specific to the brewery or winery's product range and tone
- Designating one person to own and update AI templates as the product range evolves
- Running a pilot on a low-stakes task (e.g., social post) before applying AI to compliance or sales copy
- Pairing AI drafts with a final human sense-check tied to the actual tasting or batch review
Common mistakes
- Copying AI-generated tasting notes verbatim without tasting and verifying accuracy against the actual product
- Using AI to draft compliance or labelling text without checking against current local regulations
- Choosing enterprise-tier AI subscriptions when free or low-cost tiers fully cover SME needs
- Skipping prompt iteration — accepting the first output instead of refining for brand voice
When NOT to take this
This workshop is not appropriate for a brewery or winery that has already deployed AI tools in production and wants to build custom integrations or fine-tune models on proprietary data — that audience needs a practitioner-level technical programme instead.
