AI TRAINING
AI for Small Sales Teams
Equip small sales teams with practical AI tools to qualify leads, draft proposals, and update CRM faster.
What it covers
A hands-on workshop designed for 3-10 person sales teams in small businesses. Participants work directly with affordable, accessible tools — Apollo, HubSpot AI, Dust, and Claude — to automate call summaries, enrich CRM records, build email sequences, and draft proposals. The day combines short concept segments with live tool exercises using real-world sales scenarios. By the end, each participant leaves with working templates and automations they can use from the next working day.
What you'll be able to do
- Set up an AI-assisted call summary workflow and push structured notes to a CRM field automatically
- Write a qualifying prompt sequence in Claude or Dust that scores inbound leads against your ideal customer profile
- Build a 3-step personalised outbound email sequence using AI that requires only light human editing before sending
- Draft a proposal outline for a given deal brief in under 10 minutes using a reusable AI prompt template
- Calculate whether a given AI tool subscription is cost-justified for a sub-10-person sales team
Topics covered
- Automating call summaries and CRM updates with AI
- Lead qualification scoring using Apollo and AI prompts
- Writing and personalising outbound email sequences with Claude
- Drafting tailored proposals and follow-ups faster
- Using HubSpot AI features for pipeline management
- Building reusable prompt templates for sales tasks
- Evaluating AI tool costs vs. time savings for SMEs
Delivery
Delivered in-person or via live virtual session (Zoom/Teams). Participants need a laptop with browser access to HubSpot or their own CRM, a free Claude account, and optionally an Apollo trial. The day is approximately 70% hands-on exercises and 30% facilitated discussion. A shared Notion or Dust workspace is provided with all prompt templates and exercise sheets. A 30-minute async follow-up Q&A is included one week after the session.
What makes it work
- Designating one team member as the 'prompt librarian' who maintains and improves shared templates
- Starting with a single high-friction task (e.g. CRM updates after calls) before expanding to other workflows
- Running a two-week trial period with clear time-saved metrics before committing to any paid tool
- Reviewing and iterating on AI-generated emails as a team to align tone with the brand voice
Common mistakes
- Buying an expensive AI sales platform before validating workflows with cheaper tools like Claude or HubSpot AI
- Using generic prompts that ignore the company's specific ICP, resulting in irrelevant outreach
- Treating AI as a replacement for relationship-building rather than an admin-reduction tool
- Not updating prompt templates as the product offering or target market evolves
When NOT to take this
This workshop is not the right fit if the sales team already uses a fully configured AI-native CRM like Salesforce Einstein and wants to build custom models or integrations — that requires a practitioner-level programme with technical resources.
