What is Data Strategy?
A comprehensive plan for how an organization will collect, manage, and leverage data to achieve business objectives.
A data strategy is a comprehensive plan that defines how an organization will collect, store, manage, share, and use data to achieve its business objectives. It aligns data capabilities with business strategy and typically covers data governance, infrastructure architecture, analytics capabilities, AI/ML adoption, talent development, and organizational change. A strong data strategy answers: What data do we need? How will we ensure its quality? Who owns and manages it? How will we use it to create value? What capabilities must we build? The strategy should be informed by a maturity assessment and translated into a prioritized roadmap of initiatives.
