AI TRAINING
AI Foundations for SMEs in Spanish
SME owners leave with a practical AI toolkit adapted to Spanish-speaking markets and GDPR/LGPD compliance.
What it covers
A hands-on programme designed for small business owners and operators in Spain and Latin America. Participants explore AI tools available in Spanish, evaluate sector-specific use cases, and learn how to select vendors while respecting GDPR and LGPD obligations. The format combines short video modules with live Q&A sessions and real-world case studies drawn from retail, hospitality, professional services, and logistics.
What you'll be able to do
- Identify at least five AI tools available in Spanish and explain their appropriate use cases for your business sector
- Assess whether a chosen AI tool complies with GDPR or LGPD requirements before adoption
- Write effective Spanish-language prompts to automate at least two recurring business tasks
- Apply a structured vendor evaluation checklist to select an AI solution within an SME budget
- Draft a 90-day AI adoption plan with prioritised actions and measurable milestones
Topics covered
- Overview of AI tools available in Spanish (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, local alternatives)
- GDPR and LGPD compliance basics for AI use in small businesses
- Sector-specific AI use cases: retail, hospitality, professional services, logistics
- Content localisation and language model prompting in Spanish
- Vendor selection criteria and cost-benefit evaluation for SMEs
- Automating routine tasks: customer responses, invoicing, scheduling
- Data privacy risks and how to mitigate them
- Building a simple 90-day AI adoption roadmap
Delivery
Delivered entirely in Spanish via a blended format: four half-day live online sessions (2 hours each) supplemented by self-paced micro-modules between sessions. All materials, templates, and case studies are provided in Spanish. Hands-on exercises represent approximately 50% of total learning time. In-person delivery in major Spanish and LATAM cities is available upon request for groups of 10 or more.
What makes it work
- Designating one internal 'AI champion' per business to maintain momentum after training
- Starting with a single sector-relevant use case and measuring results before expanding
- Establishing a simple data-handling policy before any AI tool is deployed
- Using Spanish-language communities and provider support channels to sustain learning post-programme
Common mistakes
- Adopting English-language AI tools without checking Spanish-language performance, leading to poor output quality
- Ignoring GDPR or LGPD obligations when feeding customer data into third-party AI platforms
- Choosing the most popular global tool rather than evaluating cost-effective alternatives suited to SME budgets
- Starting with overly complex AI projects instead of automating one or two high-frequency, low-risk tasks first
When NOT to take this
This training is not suitable for a business that already has a dedicated IT or data team and is evaluating advanced ML pipelines — those teams need practitioner-level or technical AI engineering content, not foundational literacy.
