AI TRAINING
AI Features in simPRO and ServiceTitan for Trades
Ops managers leave able to activate and configure AI tools inside simPRO and ServiceTitan to save hours daily.
What it covers
A focused 2-day hands-on workshop covering the AI and automation capabilities built into simPRO and ServiceTitan, including call booking automation, job-card summarisation, dispatch prompts, dynamic pricing rules, and technician coaching reports. Participants work directly inside both platforms using real or anonymised company data. Each session is split roughly 30% concept, 70% configuration and practice. By the end, attendees can switch on, tune, and measure the AI features relevant to their trade business without outside help.
What you'll be able to do
- Enable and configure AI call booking and automated scheduling features in ServiceTitan or simPRO
- Set up job-card summarisation so technicians and office staff receive concise, accurate job notes automatically
- Build and test dispatch prompt templates that suggest the right technician for each job
- Create dynamic pricing rules that adjust quotes based on demand, distance, or job complexity
- Run technician coaching reports and interpret the AI-generated performance flags to guide weekly briefings
Topics covered
- AI-assisted call booking and lead capture in ServiceTitan
- Automated job-card summarisation in simPRO and ServiceTitan
- Dispatch prompt configuration and smart scheduling suggestions
- Dynamic pricing rules and AI-assisted quoting
- Technician performance and coaching report generation
- Setting up automation triggers and workflow rules
- Reviewing and acting on AI-generated insights in dashboards
- Data hygiene basics to improve AI output quality
Delivery
Delivered on-site at the client's premises or remotely via screen-share with live platform access. Participants must have admin-level or sandbox access to simPRO and/or ServiceTitan before day one. Trainer provides a configuration workbook and prompt templates. Hands-on exercises make up approximately 70% of time; short knowledge checks close each module. Follow-up Q&A call included two weeks after delivery.
What makes it work
- Nominate one ops champion who owns platform AI settings and reviews outputs weekly after training
- Run a data-cleanse sprint on customer records and job types in the two weeks before the workshop
- Start with one AI feature (e.g. job-card summarisation) and measure time saved before expanding
- Include at least one field technician or dispatcher in the training so adoption is grounded in real workflows
Common mistakes
- Turning on AI booking or dispatch features without cleaning contact and job-type data first, leading to poor suggestions
- Treating the workshop as a one-time event and not assigning an internal owner to maintain prompt templates
- Skipping the dynamic pricing module because it feels complex, then missing significant margin recovery opportunities
- Applying coaching reports punitively rather than using them as a structured conversation tool, causing technician pushback
When NOT to take this
A business that has not yet gone live on simPRO or ServiceTitan should complete standard platform onboarding first — this workshop assumes daily operational use and will not substitute for core implementation training.
