What is Maturity Model?
A framework that defines progressive levels of organizational capability in a specific domain.
A maturity model is a framework that defines progressive levels of organizational capability, typically on a scale of 1-5 (Initial, Developing, Defined, Managed, Optimized). Each level describes the processes, practices, and capabilities an organization exhibits at that stage. Maturity models exist for various domains: data management (DCAM, DAMA), software development (CMMI), cloud adoption, AI readiness, and digital transformation. They serve as both diagnostic tools (where are we now?) and prescriptive guides (what should we improve next?). The Fygurs readiness framework assesses maturity across 6 dimensions to provide a comprehensive view of an organization's transformation readiness.
