What is Outcome-Based Roadmap?
A roadmap format that organizes work by the customer or business outcome it targets, not the features it ships.
An outcome-based roadmap inverts the traditional feature roadmap: instead of 'in Q3 we ship A, B, C', it reads 'in Q3 we move activation from 38% to 50%; here are the bets we'll try.' The format protects optionality (the team can swap features without changing the commitment) and forces honest measurement (you can't claim victory without the metric moving). It's the operating format of mature product orgs because it survives reprioritization without re-promising the world to stakeholders.
