Chapter 4 of 14
The matrix, the roadmaps, the map
The same initiatives, read differently: by value and feasibility, over time, by stage, or linked to their bets and products.
The matrix
Matrix places each initiative by Feasibility (left to right) and Value (bottom to top). The dot's diameter follows the size (S, M, L, XL), its opacity follows the confidence. The colour follows the status, or the bet with the Status | Bet switch. Two thresholds, at 50 by default, hide what is below.
| Quadrant | What it gathers |
|---|---|
| Quick wins | High value, feasible, and size S, M or not set. |
| Big efforts | The other high-value initiatives. Large feasible ones read "feasible, but a big effort". |
| If time allows | Low value, feasible. |
| To stop | Low value, hard to do. |
Click a quadrant to highlight it. Click a dot to open a card with the status, the stage, the scores, the size, the portfolio, the owner, the product, and Open the initiative. Dots are placed by their scores: they cannot be dragged.

The Gantt
Roadmap › Gantt draws over time the initiatives that have a start and an end date, are not done and are past the Idea stage. Zoom, Today, Group by product or by portfolio, and Filters by status, product and portfolio. Click a bar to see the dates, the duration in days, the state, the owner, the product, the dependencies, and Open the initiative.

Now / Next / Later and lifecycle
Two column boards. Now / Next / Later sorts by status: Now, Next, Later, Done. Lifecycle sorts by stage: Idea, Validated, Planned, In progress, Done. Each card shows the title, the stage or the status, the product, "V x · F y" and the owner's initials. Dragging a card to another column saves the change.
Three rules hold between status and stage: Done goes with Done; Now is refused at the Idea or Validated stage; the In progress stage requires the Now status.

The map
Map links the bets, the initiatives, the products and the portfolios. Three views: Table (products as rows under their portfolio, bets as columns, each initiative where they cross), Map (bets on the left, initiatives grouped by product in the middle, portfolios on the right), Flow (left to right, a ribbon as thick as the initiatives it carries). One hue per portfolio, the same everywhere.
Click an element: its whole chain stays sharp, the rest fades, and the right panel reads what is linked to it (initiatives, open decisions, committees for a bet; products, bets served for a portfolio; bet, product, dependencies for an initiative). Click again, or Esc, to clear. The status filters dim without removing. Full screen for the room.
